About the Position

The Assistant Director, Student Experience serves as a key liaison between students, student leaders, and the broader Kellogg community, driving engagement through student clubs, the Kellogg Student Association (KSA), and student events as central components of the Kellogg student experience.

This role supports the unique needs of Weekend students while partnering closely on the remote student experience strategy. The position also leads strategy, planning, and engagement for Evening and Weekend student government and more than 20 student clubs and organizations at Kellogg's Chicago campus, including budget oversight, leader development, training, and club management resources.

Additionally, the Assistant Director manages the contract process for EWMBA students and school-related events and programs. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building, professionalism, customer service, communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a world-class student experience.

Please note: This position will work at least two weekends per quarter as part of the Student Experience team representation as well as CIM each quarter. Some evenings will also be required for CIM and other student programs.

Specific Responsibilities:

KSA/Club Strategy

  • Provide strategic direction and support for Kellogg Student Association (KSA). Actively manage and provide strategic direction and support to student club leaders; develop plans for each club, connect with administration and academic departments, assist in directing execution of club programming, including special events.
  • Oversee elections, attend monthly KSA meetings, and meet regularly with each KSA officer to support and facilitate programming for all EWMBA students.
  • Manage budget process for KSA and clubs, including monthly update meetings with other stakeholders.
  • Meet with each club leadership team regularly, along with quarterly club presidents meetings.
  • Maintain and update club/event communications policies and oversee approval process for promotional materials in consultation with IMC and the Dean's Office.
  • Design and lead implementation of club president leadership training annually, and quarterly professional development programming in partnership with KSA. Set best practices for club management and ensure smooth transitions between club leadership each year.
  • Design and implement methods of accountability for club and administratively led events or programs.
  • Serves as advisor to student partners (Joint Ventures) and to individual students.
  • Lead Campus Groups for Student Experience team and serve as primary event approval designee for all KSA and club programming.

Contracts for Outside Vendors

  • Serve as lead processor and unit supervisor for all student experience contracts, including KSA, Clubs, KLJ and other contracts as needed. Coordinate with Kellogg and University approvers as needed.
  • Work with FinAdm for updates and training as needed.
  • Responsible for all processing of payments and reimbursements pertaining to the KSA and Club programs.

Student Engagement and Strategic Partnerships

  • Collaborate with student club and KSA leadership to ensure programming is accessible to weekend and remote students.
  • Collaborate with key administration partners to deliver various Kellogg-sponsored speaker series offerings multiple times each quarter.
  • Drive strategic relationships between speakers bureau and corporate engagement teams and student leadership.
  • Partner with Career Management Center team to engage student leadership and create and execute student programming.
  • Partner with MiM administration to create and implement opportunities for intentional integration between MiM and EWMBA students.
  • Serve as primary liaison with EWMBA Admissions team. Leverage student experiences as yield opportunities for admitted students. Collaborate on events to coordinate student engagement. Communicate key initiatives between Admissions and Student Life.

Team Management and Collaboration

  • Work with student issues and questions; resolve conflicts, assist with student services, counsel and advise.

Miscellaneous

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years' experience in constituent-facing/services environment

  • Experience in working with graduate students.
  • 2-5 years professional experience

Target hiring range for this position will be $68,000 - $73,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
