Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of utility and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager leads cross-functional teams, coordinates with clients and stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement across project delivery processes. - Define and document project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with company objectives
- Develop comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Lead project execution by coordinating internal resources, subcontractors, and field crews
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Supervise and evaluate the work of project personnel, ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards
- Review engineering designs, work plans, and cost estimates for accuracy and efficiency
- Analyze project financial data and provide accurate forecasting and reporting to leadership
- Leads change by keeping people aligned, communicating clearly, and helping teams adopt new ways of working
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Project Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage subcontractor performance
- Technical Acumen: Understanding of engineering, construction, and utility systems and standards
- Financial Management: Competent in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and internal coordination
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, analyze performance metrics, and solve complex problems
- Safety and Compliance: Strong commitment to maintaining safe and compliant operations
- Organizational Skills: Effective in prioritizing tasks, managing documentation, and adhering to timelines
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Project management experience in utilities, construction, or engineering environments
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
