You will conduct comprehensive testing procedures on a range of rotating machinery, including centrifugal blowers, compressors, and air dryers, employing precision tools such as laser shaft alignment systems, vibration analyzers, pressure sensors, and thermal monitoring equipment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to confirm that every component meets rigorous quality criteria prior to release.

Your responsibilities cover approximately 60% testing execution, 20% quality audit and inspection, and 20% leading and training team members technically. While not a direct management position, you are expected to demonstrate leadership through mentorship, technical guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence on the production floor.

You will also be tasked with documenting detailed test results, analyzing data to identify issues or potential enhancements, and ensuring thorough record-keeping to facilitate ongoing product development and compliance adherence. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams-including engineers, quality assurance, and production operators-to swiftly resolve technical issues and optimize processes will be essential.

  • Proven experience in mechanical testing and evaluation of rotating machinery such as compressors, blowers, and dryers, demonstrating a solid understanding of industrial equipment functionality.
  • Proficiency in operating specialized tools including laser shaft alignment systems, vibration measurement devices, and instrumentation for monitoring pressure and temperature.
  • Competence in basic electrical and mechanical connectivity inspections, enabling accurate troubleshooting and diagnostics of test equipment.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve testing discrepancies efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS and software for generating comprehensive test reports and data documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the capability to create clear, precise technical documentation and communicate quality issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical coaching and mentorship that promotes skill development and team excellence.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, goal-oriented team environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous leadership experience as a Lead or Senior Technician, showing capability to guide technical teams and drive operational improvements.
  • Knowledge of auxiliary systems such as soft starters and water-cooling towers, enhancing your versatility in testing diverse equipment components.
  • Experience conducting quality inspections or audits aligned with industrial and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety protocols, quality assurance practices, and manufacturing environments to ensure compliance and safety at all times.
  • Track record of providing structured training or mentoring, contributing to the professional growth of team members.
