Overview
Manages network engineering, network operations, connectivity, network security services, and site network support across VNS Health. Oversees the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of network infrastructure supporting corporate offices, regional locations, cloud environments, remote access, and business-critical systems.Serves as a technical and operational leader responsible for supporting reliable, secure, scalable, and well-documented network services. Partners with Infrastructure, Telecom, Cloud, Endpoint, Security, Service Delivery, vendors, and business stakeholders to support daily operations, project delivery, office moves, new site readiness, network modernization, and continuous improvement.Works under general direction with responsibility for network service reliability, operational standards, team execution, vendor coordination, and escalation management.

What You Will Do:
- Manages the design, implementation, administration, and support of network infrastructure across VNS Health locations, cloud environments, and remote connectivity services.
- Oversees network engineering and operational support activities, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, network segmentation, and network access services.
- Manages day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, incident response, service requests, and escalations to ensure stable and reliable connectivity for users, sites, applications, and business operations.
- Supports network capacity planning, performance optimization, lifecycle planning, and technology modernization efforts.
- Partners with internal teams and external vendors to support network changes, upgrades, implementations, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
- Manages network security services, including firewall policies, VPN connectivity, network access controls, segmentation, traffic inspection, and related security standards.
- Oversees AWS and Azure network connectivity and firewall technologies, including FortiGate, Cisco, Arista wireless, Azure vNet, AWS VPC, and related cloud network services.
- Ensures network access controls, including 802.1x and related authentication services, are implemented, maintained, and aligned with security and compliance expectations.
- Partners with Information Security, Cloud, Endpoint, and Infrastructure teams to support secure connectivity, least-privilege access, and risk reduction across the network environment.
- Supports the development and maintenance of network security standards, approved connectivity patterns, and documented network access processes.
- Leads network readiness and support for VNS Health sites, regional offices, office moves, new locations, and return-to-office initiatives.
- Oversees site connectivity, ISP circuits, cabling, network hardware, wireless access points, and network equipment lifecycle activities.
- Coordinates network support for business-critical site services, including AV systems, printers, conference room technology, and other endpoint-dependent services.
- Maintains network hardware inventory, circuit information, site connectivity documentation, and network service dependencies.
- Partners with Service Delivery, Telecom, Facilities, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure site network services are delivered effectively and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains network documentation, including network diagrams, IP address inventories, subnet information, firewall and routing standards, circuit documentation, and configuration standards.
- Establishes and improves network monitoring, alerting, reporting, and operational visibility across network services.
- Defines and maintains operational runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, escalation paths, and support documentation for network operations.
- Reviews recurring incidents, service interruptions, and performance issues to identify root causes and support corrective actions.
- Supports operational maturity efforts by improving documentation, monitoring, change quality, capacity planning, and service ownership.
- Manages operational relationships with network vendors and support partners, including escalation coordination, service delivery follow-up, and technical issue resolution.
- Coordinates vendor-supported network services and ensures vendor work aligns with VNS Health standards, operational requirements, and project timelines.
- Partners with Infrastructure Business Operations, Procurement, and leadership on vendor performance input, renewal planning, cost considerations, and service improvement opportunities.
- Ensures vendor activities, network changes, and support engagements are documented, communicated, and aligned with change management processes.
- Leads, coaches, and develops network engineering and network operations team members responsible for connectivity, network infrastructure, site support, and network reliability.
- Assigns work, sets priorities, monitors progress, and ensures the quality and consistency of network engineering and operational deliverables.
- Builds team capability through coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, documentation, cross-training, and performance feedback.
- Supports workforce planning, skills development, operational coverage planning, and continuous improvement of network support practices.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field required
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience in network engineering, network operations, network administration, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise connectivity services required
- Minimum two years of management, supervisory, team lead, or technical leadership experience required
- Experience supporting network environments, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, network access control, and site connectivity required
- Experience supporting cloud network services and connectivity in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments required
- Experience managing vendor-supported network services and coordinating technical escalations with external providers required
- Experience coordinating network support for office moves, new site deployments, regional locations, AV systems, printers, and other site-based technology services required
- Experience managing network security services, including firewall policies, segmentation, VPN access, 802.1x, and traffic inspection required
- Experience developing network diagrams, configuration standards, operational runbooks, IP address documentation, circuit inventory, and network support procedures required
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, communication, vendor coordination, stakeholder management, and leadership skills required
- Experience with FortiGate, Azure vNet, AWS VPC, Azure Firewall, wireless network platforms, VPN technologies, ISP circuits, and enterprise monitoring tools preferred
- Experience with Microsoft identity and cloud technologies, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and related services preferred
- Experience in healthcare, field workforce environments, contact center environments, or highly distributed enterprise networks preferred
Pay Range
USD $109,900.00 - USD $146,500.00 /Yr.
