Location: Morganville, NJ
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $80,000 per year

Job Summary

We are seeking a Security Technical Sales Engineer with security systems experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work directly with customers. This role supports the sales process by conducting job walks, identifying project requirements, and developing bills of materials (BOMs). The ideal candidate can communicate technical information clearly and translate customer needs into practical security solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to understand their security needs and project objectives.
• Conduct job walks and site assessments to identify system requirements and installation considerations.
• Support the sales process by recommending security solutions that align with customer needs.
• Develop and review bills of materials for proposed security projects.
• Explain technical solutions, system capabilities, and project requirements to customers.
• Coordinate with sales and technical teams to confirm project scope and material needs.
• Travel to customer locations, including locations outside New Jersey, as required.

Job Requirements

• Experience working with security systems in a technical or customer-facing capacity.
• Experience conducting job walks and identifying project requirements.
• Knowledge of bills of materials and the components needed for security system projects.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with customers, sales staff, and technical teams.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Ability to travel outside New Jersey as required.
