About Vasion

For more than a decade, Vasion has been helping companies simplify their print infrastructure, automate business processes, and integrate their technology in a more secure environment. Our mission, to make digital transformation attainable for everyone, drives a culture of innovation and exploration. We have one simple goal: help organizations simplify processes through automation and integration.

So we created simple, cost-effective, and easy-to-implement digital tools that work together, removing bottlenecks and improving efficiency. And we're always on the lookout for new people who can help us innovate, grow, and reach our goal.

About the role

The Manager, Sales - SLED leads our State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) field sales team of five to six Account Executives. You will coach the team through public-sector buying: fiscal-year budgets, formal procurement, cooperative contracts, and committee-driven decisions. Your goal is to turn Vasion's Intelligent Print Automation and defense-grade security story into new ARR across state agencies, municipalities, K-12 districts, and higher education. This is a people-leadership role with no personal quota; you are measured on team attainment, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and the growth of your people.

What you'll do

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing SLED AE team that lives Vasion's core values.
  • Own hiring and onboarding, and coach on discovery, deal strategy, and negotiation by working live deals.
  • Set clear expectations, give candid feedback, and own performance management and career paths.

SLED Strategy & Pipeline

  • Build and execute the SLED go-to-market plan across state, local, K-12, and higher education.
  • Plan around fiscal-year budgets, E-Rate and grant timing, and committee approvals.
  • Guide the team through RFPs, cooperative contracts, and reseller and partner channels.
  • Run weekly pipeline reviews, forecast calls, and deal clinics; partner with Channels, Marketing, and BDRs.

Revenue Accountability

  • Own the team's new ARR targets and plan to meet or exceed them.
  • Deliver accurate Salesforce forecasts and keep pipeline hygiene tight.
  • Report team OKRs aligned to company OKRs, and use win/loss trends to improve close rates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Account Management, Solutions Engineering, Product, Support, and Professional Services for a seamless customer experience.
  • Bring SLED market, security, and procurement feedback to Product and leadership.
  • Drive process improvements and manage change initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of B2B SaaS or technology sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding quota.

  • Experience selling to State, Local, and Education customers, including navigating public-sector procurement.
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM for pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with cooperative purchasing contracts, RFP and bid processes, and public-sector compliance expectations such as FedRAMP.
  • Experience selling print, output management, document management, or workflow automation software.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
