  • Facilitate and drive corrective and preventive action activities utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and prevent recurrence.
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities including evaluation, disposition, documentation, and closure of nonconforming material.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, quality trends, scrap, rework, yield losses, and production metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to improve process capability, reduce variation, and increase product quality and throughput.
  • Develop and maintain process controls, inspection plans, control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Support First Article Inspection (AS9102), validation activities, process qualifications, and production readiness requirements.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure compliance throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Perform statistical analysis and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Support internal, customer, FAA, NADCAP, and AS9100 audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, eliminating waste, improving productivity, and lowering cost of quality.
  • Track corrective action performance, quality metrics, and key performance indicators and present findings to management.
  • Provide technical support and quality guidance to manufacturing personnel and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in supplier quality investigations and corrective action activities when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all customer, regulatory, and company quality system requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing, precision machining, assembly, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading corrective action investigations and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace quality systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and customer requirements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing/ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AS9100, FAA, NADCAP, and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience supporting MRB processes and nonconformance management systems.
  • Experience with SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, and process validation activities.
