Application Window Open date: January 16, 2024 Most recent review date: Monday, Aug 19, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Jul 16, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description University of California, San Francisco Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Health Science Clinical or Clinical X series) - Melanoma and Phase I Medical Oncology The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology/Oncology are recruiting for a new clinical faculty member at the level of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the Melanoma and Phase I Programs. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be ABIM certified or eligible in Medical Oncology. They should have a commitment to patient care and a track record of clinical excellence and experience in the treatment and management of patients with melanoma. A track record of clinical and translational cancer research (clinical, translational, and/or basic science) is highly desirable. Candidates' primary responsibility in this position will be to provide outstanding patient care, with the expectation of seeing patients 6 half-days per week in the Melanoma and Early Phase Medical Oncology programs. As part of this role they will work closely with colleagues in other cancer subspecialities and attend multidisciplinary tumor board conferences, as well as supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows who rotate through the respective Oncology clinic. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the clinical research efforts of the program by leading/serving as a Principal Investigator on clinical trials, developing their own or participating in research projects of others, and enrolling to ongoing clinical trials, depending on the academic and research interests of the candidate. The appointment will be made in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series at a rank compatible with the candidate's qualifications. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The minimum base salary range for this position is $104,800-$320,100.
