Application Window Open date: March 25, 2024 Most recent review date: Wednesday, Apr 24, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Sep 25, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Position Description - Chief, Division of Endodontics The UCSF Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences is seeking a full-time 1.0 FTE Endodontist faculty member to lead the Division of Endodontics. Responsibilities including support of predoctoral and advanced education levels, including lectures, seminars, laboratory, and clinical mentoring with activities covering all areas of endodontics from diagnosis and treatment planning through endodontic procedures and recall. The candidate must be a graduate of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited Advanced Education Program in Endodontics. Preference will be given to candidates with academic and clinical experience, and with demonstrated expertise with advanced technologies. The candidate should have prior experience in dental education and demonstrated ability to work productively in didactic and clinical educational environments. The preferred candidate will have a history of publications and involvement in research/scholarly activity. Productivity in USCF Dental Center faculty practice is required. Candidates must have a US DDS or DMD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be eligible for dental licensure or special permit in the State of California. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences and works collaboratively with faculty within the department and across the UCSF Dental Center. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $112,500-$297,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
