We have an exciting opportunity for a Shop Technician II - Machinist at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This position is expected to be on site five days a week.

Your Day to Day:



  • Operates manufacturing department metal removing and metal forming machines.
  • Supports the development and/or determination of machining operations, selects tooling, makes setups and develops processes and procedures. Selects and uses necessary measuring tools.
  • Selects and uses hand tools, as required. Works from drawings, sketches, written instructions or verbal instructions
  • Perform highly technical and close tolerance work to engineering drawings and written instructions.
  • Is able to operate any of the machine tool types that they are qualified for on the department training matrix with a minimal amount of training.
  • Determines the need for and fabricates jigs and tooling.
  • Practices proper housekeeping, observing all safety and criticality procedures.
  • Responsible for quality of work during the machining process to ensure required tolerances have been met
  • Practice 5S principals and observe all safety policies.
  • Runs multiple machines at the same time, based on proximity, qualifications and training
  • May, but are not required to, modify and/or troubleshoot machining programs as needed, based on machine qualification and training.
  • Set-up machine tools and component or casting to ensure the proper machining of the part, component or casting to print specifications. Depending upon the size of the part and the respective complexity, set-up time can vary.
  • General Duties as assigned by management/supervision


Who You Are:



  • High school graduate or recognized equivalent required.
  • Must have Journeyman machining card or recognized equivalent
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of tooling, fixtures arid machine set-up to achieve quality precision machined components.
  • Must be familiar with and practice 5S principals.
  • Must be able to perform highly technical and close tolerance work to engineering drawings and written instructions.
  • Must be able to operate any of the machine tool types with a minimal amount of training.
  • Must have the ability to determine the need for and fabricate jigs and tooling.
