Job Summary:

This fulltime post-doctoral position will support an NIH-sponsored research project. The focus of the project is to compare immune development of HIV-uninfected infants born to mothers with and with HIV and understand the relationship between the fetal and maternal immune systems. The project involves high dimensional flow cytometry assays using the Quanteon instrument, property of the Weinberg laboratory, transcriptomics (RNA-seq), epigenomics (ATAC-seq), proteomics using the MSD instrument (property of the Weinberg laboratory), and metabolomics. The postdoc will be mentored by Dr. Weinberg and will work collaboratively with senior and junior co-investigators, and research assistants and associates in the Weinberg laboratory. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work independently and propose studies that complement on-going projects in the laboratory. Key Responsibilities:
- High dimensional flow cytometry,
- RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, library preparation for RNA-seq and ATAC-seq
- ELISPOT/FLUOROSPOT,
- ELISA and other antibody and cytokine assays using the Meso Scale Discovery platform
- Tissue culture,
- In vitro infection,
- Immunostaining,
- Lymphocyte proliferation,
- The work will involve human specimens and may require working with blood-borne pathogens and radioactivity.

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $56,484 - $66,228 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
