Read more about us at venicefamilyclinic.org Come join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Registered Nurse (RN). Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, the RN will: Provide direct nursing services to patients (adults and children) in our free, community-based primary health care clinic(s) in Los Angeles County. Prepare patients for medical examination including taking medical history, performing health screening tests, lab tests, giving injections and emergency procedures when necessary. Provide health education and health assessments. Triage medical problems, assist with dispensing of medications, and provide nursing consultation. Help oversee the medical assistants, volunteer student RN's, CMA's, medical students and clinic assistants. Participate in meetings, projects, quality assurance activities, and other duties as needed. May float to our other sites in LA County as needed and help with coverage. Salary range: $59.46 - $88.39 Hourly Qualifications Required: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing (ASN required for current UCLA Health RN staff). Current, active California Registered Nurse License. BLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Demonstrated skill in delivery of patient care, and outpatient and primary nursing skills. Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments. Ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team. Working knowledge of child abuse reporting laws. Bilingual language skills in Spanish and English (oral). Ability and willingness to travel to our other locations in LA County if needed. CN II requires at least 6 months of nursing work experience.
