The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota occasionally needs teaching specialists or lecturers to teach courses that cannot be staffed by regular faculty or graduate students. Appointments may be full-time or part-time and may be limited to one semester. This does not constitute a posting for vacancies, but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2024-25 academic year. Applicants will be selected from this pool on an as-needed basis through academic year. Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. Teaching specialists and lecturers will be expected to teach undergraduate or graduate students in assigned course(s), hold office hours to assist and advise students, and participate in relevant departmental meetings. Overview: Essential Job Duties:
Current Openings: BME is looking for an instructor to teach the following course for the Fall 2024 Semester: FALL 2024 - BMEn 8501 Dynamical Systems in Biology (3 cr, TTh 1:00-2:15 pm)
SPRING 2025 - BMEn 5111 Biomedical Ultrasound (3 cr, MW 1:00-2:15pm)
SPRING 2025 - BMEn 5201 Advanced Biomechanics (3 cr, TTh 9:45-11:00am)
