Job Summary:



The School of Dental Medicine, Graduate Periodontics Residency Program has an exciting opportunity for an academic services professional looking to develop their career in higher education administration supporting an academic dental medical organization. This position supports the Graduate Periodontics Residency Program clinic operations, resident recruitment, program academics, and financial administrative activities. There are growth opportunities to support the entire Division of Periodontics and the department. This position will collaborate with division/department leadership, SDM staff, and various campus/university constituents.

The position is located at the University of Colorado - Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours will be dependent on business need but typically will be Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate all aspects of the resident recruitment life cycle, including admissions, onboarding, program orientation, and annual graduation.
  • Organize and manage resident education experiences, such as clinic and didactic schedules, rotations, in-service trainings, electives, and other educational programming.
  • Act as a liaison between clinics within the Division of Periodontics programs, ensuring effective communication and resource sharing to optimize clinic scheduling and enhance patient care.
  • Perform supply, equipment, and inventory control and purchasing to ensure optimal clinic effectiveness while monitoring the budget.
  • Process and monitor data collection and reporting in various business applications and data repositories, encompassing recruitment, licensing, scheduling, resident evaluation, and alumni tracking.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, public administration, health care, communications, accounting, finance, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.

    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.


  • 2 years of professional and administrative experience working in a healthcare and/or business administration setting, including academic support, business administration, student advising or admissions, or related work experience.


Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in education, business, public administration, health care, communications, accounting, finance, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years of professional and administrative experience working in a healthcare and/or business administration setting including academic support, business administration, student advising or admissions, or related work experience.
  • Experience working in an academic medical environment.


Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to academic dental medical environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

  • Knowledge of professional standards, concepts and practices related to business operations, finance and accounting.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
  • Ability to take initiative with daily work activities and collaborates to create a positive effect on team performance.
  • The ideal candidate for this position will be a detail oriented, dedicated and professional individual.
  • Ability to use various business applications and technologies.
  • Knowledge in medical education, dental terminology, and clinic operations.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range for this position has been established as $52,961 - $67,367.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
