Description
Summary: A MH Mechanic 1 performs skilled maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities components and systems utilized by LGSTX Services. These systems include all types of work on conveyor systems, all components of conveyor systems and other material handling equipment. In addition this position may interact, inspect, and oversee contractors work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics. Must have at least 5 years (10 years is preferred) of verifiable prior work experience with industrial or commercial maintenance work as a maintenance technician or mechanic. Must be self-motivated with the ability work without direct supervision and/or as part of a team. Two to four years of formal approved technical training, apprenticeship or schooling in industrial or commercial maintenance to include mechanical and electrical is preferred. Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of the organization are required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn relevant company software programs. Basic knowledge or familiarity with using a smart phone. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current valid driver's license.
