Job Details Job Location Porter - Holland, MI Salary Range $18.00 - $23.00 Hourly Description SIPs Lumber Install Technician Date: June 26, 2024 Department: Lamination Business Unit: Porter Corp Location: Holland, MI Reports To: 2nd Shift Lamination Supervisor - Evan Cooper FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Compensation: Hourly Summary The primary purpose of this position is to operate hand tools that shape Structural Insulated Panels following blueprint specifications as the finishing process prior to wrapping and shipment. This position is responsible for final shaping and finishing of Structural Insulated Panels by operating hand tools and following blue print specifications. It also includes the installing of lumber in panels and putting together lumber bundles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fabrication of SIPs utilizing various hand tools Maintain a clean and safe work environment Maintain quality standards Problem solving in tough situations Operate Hi-lo and overhead cranes Perform other duties as assigned Competencies Analytical Decision-Making Communication Learning & Development Planning & Organizing Professionalism & Integrity Financial Management Risk-Taking/Creative Thinking Teamwork & Relationship-Building Results Orientation EEO Accountability Managing Others Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent Basic construction skills Able to read blue prints Able to read measurement tools Wood working/carpentry experience Travel This position requires minimal to no travel Computer Skills Basic computer skills Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems Other Requirements Basic computer and math skills Able to lift 75 lbs.
