JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Floor Plan Designer II position will support our end users with an Intermediate to Advanced level layout and proposal on Cambro Camshelving line as well as provides customer support to customers, vendors, and various internal departments on Cambro products through an array of tasks. The function requires good technical competence and communicative ability in order to receive, evaluate, and respond to customer requests and inquiries.
  • Creates intermediate to advanced-level floor plans/designs requested by customers and sales representatives related to Cambros Camshelving product line; generates proposals of components pertaining to floor plan design.
  • Floor Plan Designer II may be required to handle special accounts involving set specifications and criteria.
  • Consult and advise end users on Camshelving product inquiries and usage.
  • Develops and maintains up-to-date Camshelving Request Log.
  • Support the Internal Customer Service department with questions on theCamshelving product line and phone support on product inquiries. This includes providing recommendations on setup, item details, and proposal inquiries.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Cambro product line and manufacturing processes (Roto, Injection, Structural Web, Compression, Composites, Textiles).
  • Respond to customers' usage inquiries as applicable.
  • Assist with data entry of Special Request & ECN logs for visibility and company-wide access.
  • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, is able to work well with others, is open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to the immediate manager.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Floor Plan Designer II may be required to provide support to the continued development of the CDS program. Troubleshoot and provide recommendations on program improvements.
  • Process product samples orders for NPD and Engineering for research and development.
  • Process customer sample orders as requested for field research.
  • New Product Literature library-maintain up to date inventory of New Product specs sheet, catalogs, cut sheets used for reference and presentations as needed.
  • Maintain office supplies.
  • Maintain office equipment supplies and schedule repairs or maintenance.
  • Support the internal Customer Service Department with product inquiries regarding weights, dimensions, and product usage.
  • Support customers with questions on product specifications.
  • Support management and engineering by scheduling department/project meetings as requested.
  • May be required to assist with advance clerical duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate. One to two years of customer service-related experience and or manufacturing-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience as applicable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of Cambro products, i.e. how they are used, application, etc.
  • ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, intermediate-level technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to professionally respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to interpret and convert blueprint scale. Applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Requires analytical skills.
  • Apply logical or scientific thinking principlesto various intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbols (formulas, scientific, equations, graphs) in their most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Microsoft Office (Intermediate Level), CAD (Intermediate Level), or design software equivalent.
  • Prefer some knowledge of Cambro products, i.e. how they are used, application, etc. Knowledge and experience of AS400. Ability to read and translate floorplans. Work and understand blueprint scale translation.

  • Sitting, walking, standing, bending at the neck, bending at the waist, squatting, twisting at the neck and waist, repetitive use of hands, simple grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, reaching above and below the shoulder, carrying/lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • May occasionally have to drive a personal vehicle between company facilities.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$20.96 - $24.00

Salary may vary based on experience.
