Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

The Technology Infrastructure Organization is in search of an experienced Network Software Development Engineer who is capable of providing advanced coding to automate network infrastructure.

Position Summary

Network Automation Software Engineer is a position serving as an automation developer for multiple technology integrations and automation. Candidate is responsible for maintaining and implementing code, bug fixes throughout the application lifecycle activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 + years software development experience in multiple frontend and backend languages (Python, Go, Yang, NSO, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting)
  • Skilled in developing solutions for network defined automation and/or cloud IT solutions, including API Development and Integration
  • Experience with various database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB and MariaDB.
  • Knowledge of both distributed / parallel software architectures and different modeling languages (such as UML and ArchiMate)
  • Understanding of IT standards, controls and application security development
  • Application development methodologies and infrastructure as well as analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps)
  • Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA/Remedy/Service Now
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with developers in an outsourced environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications and experience in computer science, software development, information-technology, engineering, or a related field.
