The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking an outstanding physician-scientist to join the faculty as part of a multidisciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Division, providing care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at UT Southwestern and Children's Health Dallas and Plano.

The candidate will have limited daytime clinical responsibilities in the Pediatric Intensive Care Services. In addition, the candidate will be expected to take approximately 15 in-house call nights during the year. The candidate is expected to devote the majority of time in scholarly activities. This will include the growth and development of their independent research program over the next several years. Clinical responsibilities will be in the 44-bed multidisciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on the main campus in Dallas. This high-volume ICU includes medical, trauma, and surgical patients. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
