Special Procedures Technologist Neuroangiography

PRN - 2 shifts per month, 8, 10, or 12 hours. The shifts could be weekend or weekday.

No call requirement.

Job Duties:



  1. Demonstrates the ability to produce timely/quality diagnostic images while properly operating the appropriate equipment and following established protocols in Angiography.
  2. Practices proper patient handling to ensure patient safety by using proper lifting/moving techniques, aids and restraints.
  3. Accurately documents all information pertaining to a patient's clinical history, physician order and the procedure log book.
  4. Ensures correct/timely entry of procedure/supply charges and exam completions.
  5. Assists Radiologists in the performance of special procedure examinations.
  6. Maintains imaging equipment in optimal order and cleans, restocks and maintains exam rooms.
  7. Assembles and presents all exam documents and images for the Radiologist in a timely manner.
  8. Displays adaptability, flexibility, creativeness, prioritization and assistance to co-workers, managers and physicians.
  9. Participates in educational programs, in-services and department meetings.
  10. Participates and assists with the training and orientation of new employees and students.
  11. Knowledgeable of the department performance improvement initiatives and participates in identifying and resolving issues.
  12. Provides timely documentation of active ARRT, TDH and CPR licenses.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Associates degree or equivalent hospital-based certification required.
  • One (1) year experience working as Technologist required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required depending on unit or department.
  • Preferred: AART certification

  • Work requires ability to exercise modality expertise in applications, procedures, protocols, and training.
  • Work requires ability to recognize artifacts/unusual or special problems unrelated to normal scanning routines.
  • Work requires ability to respond to and interact with all stakeholders with the PACT standards.
  • Work requires ability to devise creative alternatives and suggestions to workflow constraints.
  • Work requires a change agent attitude that includes flexibility and adaptability to perform in a high volume facility.
  • Work requires ability to build high functioning teams that work in tandem within interdepartmental modalities.
  • Work requires ability to lift 50 pounds.
