Key individual contributor and coordination role responsible for directing and generating new business opportunities for a major program, product line, market segment, and technology within a division.
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:
The Sales Engineer will focus on potential new business and technologies that will assist the division in meeting and exceeding the divisional growth objectives set forth by the Strategic Deployment Process
Essential Functions:
- Has sales responsibility for Group and Divisions for specific assigned OEM accounts
- To increase sales and prioritize the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales results.
- Responsible for sales performance.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical knowledge of the Group and Division's applications, features, advantages and benefits.
- Obtain specifications and approvals at specific OEMs on an annual basis to result in sales opportunities or increased sales.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the competitive products and their activity in the market place and provide a report, on a monthly basis.
- Actively promote sale of Group and Division products to target OEM accounts
Assist in the conversion of competitive parts to Parker and OEM accounts.
- Actively support the divisions' programs and policies.
- Assume an unofficial leadership role among peers.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering and five (5) years sales and/or other related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- PC skills a plus.
- Must be willing to travel.
