Primary Location Rapid City, SD USA Department RCH Pharmacy Scheduled Weekly Hours 0 Starting Pay Rate Range $17.44 - $20.05 (Determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.) Job Summary Applicant must be enrolled in a Pharmacy program and eligible to be registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire as a Pharmacy Student with Monument Health. Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmaceutical care by preparing medications in a complete and timely manner and in accordance with policies and regulations. Completes billing within the appropriate time frame assuring accurate charges with correct date of service. Labels and packages medications appropriately. Prepares medications in a timely manner to expedite delivery to the patient. Operates automated technology (Pyxis, carousel, compounders, etc.) in accordance with department standards and expectations. Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms with the appropriate aseptic technique. All other duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Required: Certification - Registration within 30 days of hire- South Dakota Board of Pharmacy Preferred: Experience - 1+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience Education - Bachelors degree in Pharmacy Physical Requirements: Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
