JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Provide both pre- and post-award administration services, with a strong emphasis on proposal development and submission. Prioritize deadlines of potential funding opportunities, assist faculty and trainees with proposal preparation through reviewing sponsor, University guidelines and submission requirements, develop, finalize and/or approve proposal budget and cost share; prepare required forms, and budget justification; obtain cost share approvals. Serve as liaison with Office of Research Affairs on internal and external grant/contract submissions, extension requests, and closeouts. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, through verbal and written communication, develop new processes to streamline research submission and reporting processes. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with electronic proposal submission sites, SIMS, SIMBA, Excel, Word, is preferred. This is a part time position for 10 hours a week or less.
