JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Faculty Position - Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA The Director of Translational Research and Developmental Therapeutics at the Four Diamond Childhood Cancer Research Center at Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey, PA, Sinisa Dovat, MD, PhD is currently seeking applications for the Assistant Professor position. Our research is focused on epigenetics and 3D chromatin organization, the molecular mechanisms that regulate malignant transformation and cellular proliferation in leukemia, as well as the development of novel treatments for pediatric malignancies. Our particular interest is in the role of epigenetics in regulating cellular multiplication and immortalization in leukemia. A typical project is as recently published: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41375-019-0474-0. The salary of this yearly renewable position will be established according to institutional guidelines. This position is supported by R01 grant, several childhood cancer research foundation grants, and the Four Diamonds Endowment (Dovat). Experience: We are looking for a faculty who will perform ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, CUT&Tag, RNA-SEQ, ATAC-seq, GRO-seq, Hi-C, Hi-ChIP, 3-C etc. in normal and malignant cells. Experience with some of the above techniques is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be motivated, independent and highly organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have PhD in hand by start date.
