JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Continuing Education Department of Penn State Berks is seeking individuals with expertise in the craft brewing industry to develop curriculum for a multi course non-credit remote brewing certificate. Grant monies from the PA Specialty Grains grant will fund individuals who are knowledgeable in PA grains specifically in addition to those with science, agricultural, environmental, and sensory backgrounds to assist in this project. Those with solid business skills in sales, distribution, marketing, and economic development are also invited to apply. Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field and have knowledge/practical experience in the brewing process.
The Brewing Module Design Coordinator assignment is short term and expected outcome includes the development of a course and related learning materials including,

  • course outline
  • learning objectives
  • compulation of student learning materials
  • assessments and evaluations

Selected individuals will have the possibility of facilitating these remote courses once the program has received academic approval. Employment will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
