UH Lakewood Medical Center is located between Kansas City and Lee's Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families. UH Lakewood specializes in high-risk maternal and child care, and serves as one of the few Kansas City metro area institutions accredited by The Joint Commission in Orthopedics and Palliative Care.It also is home to a 188-bed, fully accredited long-term care center.

UH Behavioral Health is the KC metro area's largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The Crossroads Building, located in Kansas City's vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services. Job Description

We're looking for a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to join our team and help us shape the future of compensation and benefits for our organization. As our new Compensation & Benefits Analyst, you'll work closely with our HR team to design, implement, and maintain compensation and benefit programs that support our dynamic and talented workforce. This is your chance to make a direct impact, solve complex problems, and ensure our employees are well-compensated and supported. What You'll Do: Compensation Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and determine pay ranges for new and re-evaluated positions.
  • Stay on top of market data and changes in job duties to ensure competitive compensation levels.
  • Create and revise job descriptions to match the organization's evolving needs and ensure accuracy in compensation.
  • Dive into industry compensation surveys and provide recommendations based on your findings.
  • Assist in the administration of incentive plans and career ladder programs.
  • Solve compensation-related issues and educate employees and managers on our compensation guidelines.
  • Work on projects like annual market analysis, staff adjustments, and system updates in myWorkday.
Benefits Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the benefits team to administer employee benefit programs and respond to inquiries.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of benefit deductions and premium payments.
  • Handle benefit enrollment changes, from new hires to qualifying life events, ensuring accuracy in the system.
  • Update benefits policies and communications to keep everything streamlined and transparent.
  • Coordinate benefit fairs and open enrollment, making sure employees have the info they need to make the best choices.
  • Promote quality improvement and safety while contributing to a positive work culture.
What We're Looking For: Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in compensation analysis, design, or administration.
  • Strong skills in statistical analysis and a knack for math.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel - you'll be analyzing data and putting together reports.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems to help keep everything running smoothly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Benefits Administration - a plus!
  • Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
  • Experience in the health care industry.
  • Knowledge of Workday or similar HR systems.
