Duties:
The Facility Technician (HVAC) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.
Skills:
Journeyman HVAC license strongly desired. Training from a trade school is a plus. EPA Section 608 HVAC Certification (Type 1, Type 2 or Universal) strongly desired. Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting required. North American Technical Excellence (NATE) certification or ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers) certification desirable. Strong Mechanical experience/training in one of the following: HVAC installation, HVAC troubleshooting and repair, general mechanic background.
Education:
Requires an Associate degree in appropriate discipline plus two (2) years of directly related industrial electrician experience, but candidates who have not completed a related associate degree must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least six (6) years directly related industrial electrician experience.
