JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Eberly College of Science, Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking outstanding candidates for postdoctoral positions in quantum condensed matter theory with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2023 (earlier appointments can be considered). Applicants with expertise in all areas of contemporary interest in quantum condensed matter including but not limited to quantum materials, ultra-cold gasses, quantum optics, quantum Hall effect, mesoscopic transport, topological materials, quantum magnetism and numerical simulations of quantum many body physics are encouraged to apply. The postdoctoral candidate will be part of a vibrant intellectual environment including the groups of Profs. Zhen Bi, Vincent Crespi, Jainendra Jain, Ribhu Kaul, Chaoxing Liu, Lukas Muechler, Mikael Rechtsman, Marcos Rigol, and Jorge Sofo, as well as a large number of cutting-edge experimental groups in related areas at Penn State. A Ph.D. in Physics is required by the start of the position.
