Primary Responsibilities


In the role of Senior Transportation Drainage Engineer, we'll count on you to:


  • Take responsibility for the entire design process from the Proposal through preparation of the plans, specifications and estimate of a moderate to large highway/roadway project or projects
  • Coordinate all disciplines (roadway, structural, traffic, landscaping and environmental) involved in the project, coordinate with all subconsultants, coordinate with the client, keep project on schedule, keep project within budget, perform or ensure that quality control is accomplished for each project, supervise highway/roadway design team or teams, and perform more complicated design work on larger projects
  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in all aspects of drainage engineering design is required
  • Arizona PE registration with ability to acquire New Mexico PE registration & CFM
  • Experience with standard drainage analysis packages including but not limited to HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InRoads and other transportation drainage design software packages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must


Preferred Qualifications



  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in all aspects of drainage engineering design is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years' Project Management experience is preferred
