The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication is accepting applications for part-time instructors for fall 2024 semester. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach mass media courses in radio and television broadcasting, production, writing, producing and reporting. The maximum teaching load is three courses per semester.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Teaching face-to-face and/or online courses to include Introduction to Radio & Digital Audio Production, Introduction to Video Production, Advanced Audio and Video Production, Electronic News Writing and Electronic Reporting and Producing courses, and work closely with TV Studio Director and General Manager of

Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication offers a Bachelor of Science degree with concentrations in multimedia journalism, mass media production, and public relations, which are accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (
ACEJMC).
The department is housed within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. More than 600 students are majors in the Journalism and Mass Communication Department, which plans to establish a graduate program in the immediate future. |
Minimum Requirements |
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Communication or closely related discipline, at time of application. |
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Candidates with 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level and 3-5 years of industry experiences in broadcasting. |
