NS2 Mission is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven Data Scientist to join our team in Northern Virginia. Your work will involve creating innovative data solutions, enhancing workflows, and unlocking the potential of complex datasets. Key Responsibilities: Conduct end-to-end quality assurance of data feeds and datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. Provide on-site support for data triage and assessment. Identify and recommend workflow or system improvements to enhance efficiency. Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborative team activities. Cross-train on existing data collection tools to expand team expertise. Develop, monitor, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track key metrics and alert stakeholders. Research, document, and implement strategies to aggregate or collect data from web-based and internal platforms. Analyze web-based platforms to assess their ability to detect or restrict access, providing actionable recommendations. Leverage Sponsor-network APIs for programmatic data access. Create, maintain, and improve systems and tools for advanced data exploitation. Develop and refine custom data collection scripts using Python and APIs. Automate processes for data management and dissemination. Required Qualifications: Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and script development. Experience performing statistical analysis, modeling, and testing using Python or R. Data Expertise: Strong ability to analyze data in structured and unstructured formats. Experience with databases such as SQL, Presto, and S3-based data lakes. Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Kibana, Tableau) and notebook-based visualization libraries. Analytical & Communication Skills: Experience analyzing problems, formulating requirements, selecting analytic methods, and delivering actionable findings to stakeholders. Ability to convey technical insights in clear, impactful narratives using graphical, verbal, and written communication. AI/ML Experience: Hands-on experience with AI/ML techniques, including natural language processing in production environments.
