QUALIFICATIONS



  • Degree/Education: Master's or DNP degree as Women's Health NP from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Board Certification: Certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) by the National Certification Corporation.
  • Experience: At least 24 months as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in the last 36 months; colposcopy experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Conduct patient interviews for health histories.
  • Perform physical exams and order necessary studies.
  • Provide accurate medical diagnoses.
  • Counsel on health maintenance and prevention.


Gynecological/Obstetrical Care:



  • Provide comprehensive care including history, immunizations, exams, and management of acute/chronic issues.
  • Order and interpret screenings, lab tests, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Establish and manage treatment plans.


Specific Areas:



  • Antenatal and postpartum care
  • Contraceptive management
  • Manage abnormal uterine bleeding, menorrhagia, cervicitis, post-coital bleeding, amenorrhea, and post-menopausal bleeding
  • Obtain and interpret cytology specimens and cultures
  • Order, perform, and interpret STI testing
  • Treat STIs and condyloma per CDC guidelines
  • Manage medications and treatment plans.
  • Analyze patient history and symptoms to develop differential diagnoses.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking in clinical decision-making.
  • Maintain documentation for treatments.
  • Ensure patient safety per regulatory standards.
  • Engage in self-evaluation and peer review for practice improvement.
  • Complete continuing education for licensure/certification.
  • Promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate to improve patient care and organizational performance.
  • Show sensitivity to diversity in patients and staff.

DOE: $195,000
