Job Summary:

This appointment will be in the 2025-2026 Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in Cardiothoracic Imaging.

There is the possibility that this position could be extended for one additional year.

Responsibilities:

This position will always function as a trainee when performing cardiac MR interpretation.

The clinical activities for which the position can function independently during training include: general radiology duties, such as general imaging, on-call non-cardiac CT and non-cardiac MR interpretation, on-call general radiology services, and work at the non-UWHC sites.

An additional component of this appointment outside of the fellowship is providing independent clinical services for the Department of Radiology as necessary and as assigned by the Department Chair. Work may be carried out at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Unitypoint Health-Meriter Hospital and/or other radiology outpatient or outreach sites and extended coverage areas as necessary.

The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students.

- Wisconsin medical license
- Applicant must be board certified or board eligible


Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.


Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 12 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
