The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This clinical child and adolescent psychologist will join a multidisciplinary Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in a nationally-ranked, freestanding children's hospital located on the medical school campus. Duties are primarily to:

  1. Conduct psychological evaluations and treatment of children and adolescents being seen in a large, multidisciplinary Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry;
  2. Serve as a member of the outpatient services team, conducting evaluations and short-term treatment of children and adolescents;
  3. Provide psychological treatment services to children recently discharged from the Psychiatry Inpatient Unit and Partial Hospitalization Program;
  4. Provide clinical supervision and seminar teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs;
  5. Research is encouraged.

Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD or PsyD in a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. At least one of training programs must have been APA-approved. It is preferred that this individual have fellowship-level training in pediatric psychology which includes the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with complex congenital heart disease.

Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full-time position. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois. Applications will be evaluated as received. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.
