Job Summary

Reporting to Inside Sales Team Leader, the Inside Sales Representative provides more accurate and efficient customer service to assigned distribution, OEM customers as well as general customers of Nidec Motors Corporation by offering more extensive knowledge of the product and processes when providing end to end inside sales support from inquiry handling to complete order processing.

Job Description

Key Role & Responsibilities 1. Process and organize customer quotations and inquiries in a timely manner and according to department procedure. 2. Process and enter customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. Stock items should be entered the same day, not to exceed 24 hours from time of order. Production item orders should also be entered within 24 hours, although production orders may require pre-order evaluation according to department procedure. 3. Maintain control and organization of quote and order status from beginning (quote / order) of process until the end (deliver of product). This includes but not limited to related submittals, special price requests, expedites, inquiries, credit holds, orders pending clarification and other issues which may delay quotes / orders. 4. Process credits and RGA's accurately and in a timely manner, according to department procedure. 5. Identify, communicate, and support resolution of problem areas regarding data entry, system error, customer-service issues, customer training issues or other areas that may negatively impact the overall customer service process. 6. Ensure high-level of accessibility to customers, including the handling and processing of a large volume of phone calls or e-mails in a timely and efficient manner. 7. Maintain customer files and data including pricing, contracts, profiles, and open / closed customer orders and requests. 8. Actively acquire and maintain product and system knowledge and updates. 9. Maintain a clean and safe work area. 10. Other tasks not noted here but may be required to perform the job. *Marginal position functions that are not included among the essential duties and responsibilities in this position description are also requirements of this position. **This position requires regular on-time attendance as outlined by Human Resources or your supervisor(s). This position requires the ability to work independently or in a team setting. You will be expected to accept direction from you supervisor, manager and subordinate personnel and to work amicably and productively with co-workers. Additional Position Information / Details: Position does not require customer visits, travel or outside sales work as its primary functions or responsibility.

Additional Job Details

Education and Experience BS / BA in Business or Technical degree preferred or 0-3 years of customer experience, preferable in a related industry. Skills
