Key Position Details:

The Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute is seeking a Neurologist specializing in Migraines and Headaches to join our practice at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

  • Provide clinical leadership of the Headache and Migraine Center

  • Partner with Primary care and other specialists treating headaches and migraines on best practice management

  • Determine clinical pathway for appropriate regional referrals after failed conservative treatment

  • Support the initiation of a Botox program for headaches

  • Primary practice location Abbott Northwestern Hospital with potential for metro outreach

  • Opportunity to participate in research with fully supportive and collaborative administrative and research teams

  • Potential for after-hours and weekend call coverage - phone based within a pool of providers to be determined

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.

  • Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.

  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.

  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.

  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Job Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required

  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required

  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)

  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
