Dump Truck Operator - Monroe

Diamond B Construction, a leading provider of highway, street, road, bridge, airport and many other types of high quality construction in Louisiana is currently seeking placement for the following position:

Dump Truck Drivers for operations with our sister company Tran Sand in the Monroe, LA area. Class A or B drivers considered.

Job Duties:

• Operating end dump tractor trailers with a high level of safety and skill
• Adhering to FMCSA regulations and company policies related to safe and courteous driving
• Performing PRE/POST trip inspections accurately; and working with mechanics and management to ensure timely repairs and maintenance
• Ability to operate a manual transmission with a high degree of skill (automatic for Class B)
• Keeping vehicle clean, safe and operational as per regulations
• Working well with dispatching, customers, management and others to ensure timely deliveries
• Assisting with other construction work as needed
• Following all safety policies and PPE use

Safety Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in high heat
• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to walk and stand on uneven surfaces
• Ability to operate assigned vehicle safely
• Prolonged sitting
• Ability to read, see and understand signs, signals, commands, instruction and safety policies

Experience/Skills Required:

• Must have minimum of 2 yrs. driving experience in either a dump truck, tractor trailer or both.
• Must be able to operate CDL across statelines
• Must have a valid driver's license Class A or B with good driving record
• Must have license and experience in operation of a manual transmission
