The Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in its Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Start date is Fall 2022/August 12th, 2022. A Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminology, or related field is required, although exceptionally qualified ABDs will also be considered. Applicants are expected to have a strong record of, or clear potential for, publication. Preference will be given to applicants who specialize in crime science, including forensic science/crime scene investigation, cybercrime, and Geographic Information System Mapping (GIS). Salary is nationally competitive and commensurate with experience. The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice currently has 22 full-time faculty members, enrolls about 2,000 majors, and offers bachelor's degrees in Crime Science and Criminal Justice, a master's degree in Criminal Justice, and a Ph.D. in International Crime and Justice. In September 2021, the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) received full membership in the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA). This prestigious organization includes the top 40 schools of international affairs in the world. The SIPA is among 25 in the US with this designation, 5th in the Southeastern United States, and the 1st and only in the State of Florida.
