This position reports to

Senior Vice President, Sales

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring new business opportunities and improve the existing ones by supporting the Sales organization with relevant knowledge of products and markets. Each day, you will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in your assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in sales strategy discussions for the assigned area, agreements on short-term and long-term goals, and negotiation of the division sales budget.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Remote
This role is contributing to the Packaging/Motion/Systems Drive in Mid-Atlantic region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*National Key Account Focus: Develop and lead strategic long term plans for assigned key and development accounts
*Lead early and continuous customer engagement efforts and manage customer experience throughout the entire sales cycle, and focus on opportunity discovery and development. Identify and pursue capex projects
*Be responsible for quarterly summary reports for assigned accounts and provide monthly sales forecast as required during cadence calls
*Cross division Collaboration: Coordinate activities with other divisions of ABB as well as global and strategic account managers and build cross division account teams to enable system drives packaging to effectively serve key accounts

Qualifications for the role
  • Completion of a Technical Degree with minimum 8 years of experience in drives sales or related industry experience
  • Knowledge of process industry; applications, products, competition
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medium voltage variable frequency drives, motors and project sales Highly skilled at developing and growing relationships, from plant level to senior management
  • Proficient in SalesForce.com tool, Microsoft office products
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
