The Director of Marketing and Communications will report to the Chief of Staff/CFAO and work closely with the Vice Chancellor in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSA). This position is responsible for creating, implementing, and prioritizing comprehensive communications and marketing strategies to highlight, promote, connect, and serve all Student Affairs departments and centers and more than 26,000 undergraduate and graduate students at UC Riverside. The Director works closely with the Vice Chancellor and senior leadership on executive and crisis communications. This multifaceted position entails developing and executing innovative marketing and communications campaigns, digital and print materials, video, and photography, including social media and website management, enhancing brand exposure and awareness, and elevating the student experience. This position must have a strong record of accomplishment in managing major marketing and communication plans/projects from inception to fruition. The incumbent will develop integrated marketing and communication plans using technology to track value and evaluate effectiveness through reporting tools. The Director of Marketing and Communications will develop and produce marketing campaigns spanning traditional and digital channels. This position will lead a team that produces a variety of publications, reports, program brochures, press releases, electronic marketing materials, and direct the content on the Student Affairs website. The incumbent will lead the Marketing & Communications team and oversee VCSA org-level events.

The full salary range for the Director, Marketing and Communications is $100,100 - $190,500 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $100,100 - $155,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
