The Senior Director of Supply Chain Optimization will be responsible for developing capabilities, working with the Merchandising team to optimize the flow of goods from vendors through our Supply Chain network, leveraging analytics in the most efficient method possible. The leader of this team will actively engage with Merchandising, Transportation, DC Operations, and Supply Chain Strategy teams. This position will report to the Vice President Supply Chain Strategy. Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or relevant field study or equivalent years of related work experience required.
  • Master's Degree a plus

Work Experiences:

  • 10+ years of supply chain planning, optimization and project leadership
  • Inventory planning, merchandising optimization, or similar experience planning effective flow of merchandise
  • Organizational leadership through complex business process changes
  • Demonstrated experience driving operational excellence through effective communications strategies and prioritization tactics

Skills:

  • Experienced leader with a track record of solving complex problems to drive operational excellence.
  • Ability to implement new initiatives and drive change management by developing strong cross functional partnerships in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external.
  • Presents data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner at all levels of the company.
  • Manages multiple competing priorities strategically.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines.
  • Provide superior customer service, demonstrating sound logic and judgment.
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills.
  • Ability to effectively react and resolve conflict.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel, Power Point.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Integrated Business Planning tools and processes to forecast inventory flow, develop communication and action plans for unplanned events.
  • Develop and implement key metrics for measuring and driving improvements in the effectiveness of forecasts.
  • Reviews and analyzes incoming orders, available capacity, current lead times, and competitive lead times to determine direction for any required capacity adjustment.
  • Collaborate with vendors on performance management and process improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage data analytics to develop insights that drive strategic improvement opportunities with vendor, merchant, transportation, and distribution teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization and partner with 3PLs to develop and improve reverse logistics' operating efficiencies.
  • Monitors releases against estimated ship dates and release orders to meet customer date and business plan.
  • Utilizes performance management tools and transportation management systems to calculate metrics, freight spend and savings, and other supply chain improvements.
  • Maintains excellent customer service relationships with all stores, corporate personnel, outside vendors, carriers and internal DC team members and managers.
  • Evaluates Store delivery schedules and general operations and recommends service improvements or development of new deliveries.
  • Constantly evaluates and challenges current Supply Chain practices for long term growth of both DC and stores.
  • Develop a team of high performing leaders that are collaborative and innovative.
  • Responsibilities may change; team members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned.

  • Able to travel and/or work flexible hours such as evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior.
