This hybrid at the manager's discretion based out of the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

Your Day-to-Day:



  • Work with RVCVDA performing reactor vessel integrity analyses, authoring and verifying calculation notes, topical reports
  • Interface with materials test groups and reactor engineering to obtain necessary inputs and collaborate on topical reports
  • Interact with the business unit to develop customer offers and support customer meetings
  • Perform above duties in support of license renewals, fuel cycle changes, etc.



Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the nuclear industry supporting reactor vessel design and analysis or other related analytical experience. Typicall 10-15 years.
  • Strong technical writing skills to support authoring / verification of calculation notes and topical reports
  • Ability to understand customer contract commitments and interface with the customer on technical issues
  • This position also has the expectation that the engineer will be working toward a professional engineering license.
  • Microsoft Product skill sets required at an advanced level- so a strong ability to work within WORD and EXCEL.



Nice-to-Have:



  • Familiaritywith relevant industry standards, NRC Regulatory Guides is preferred
  • Having passed the EIT/FE exam although not required is a plus.
