This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Madison, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position. We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Education:



  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering OR
  • A High School Diploma/GED holderANDSuccessful completion of United Stated Navy nuclear field pipeline training program
  • *Will accept three years of related experience as meeting the Bachelor's degree requirement.


3-6 years of experience in the following areas:



  • Navy Nuclear Operator OR
  • Commercial Reactor Operations OR
  • Commercial Nuclear Power Plant EngineerOR
  • Instrumentation and Control Technician OR
  • Commercial or civilian nuclear experience


Skills:



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and use of database programs.
  • Working knowledge of operating procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, and other Technical Documents.
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills, good oral and written communication skills and have strong presentation/facilitation skills
  • Exhibit professional work ethic.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time to remote locations.
  • Ability to work occasional long hours, rotating shifts, and weekends.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain unescorted access at a Nuclear Power Plant.

  • Instructor experience
  • Navy Nuclear Instructor
  • Navy Nuclear Simulator Instructor
  • Working knowledge of the associated Training procedures, INPO documents and NRC regulations.
  • Working knowledge of theAP1000and/or legacy plant PWR systems.
  • Working knowledge ofAP1000and/or legacy PWR integrated operations and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge ofAP1000PWR procedures, procedure background documents, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, functional logic diagrams, Technical Specifications, Conduct of Operations Manual, and etc.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic data storage/retrieval databases like EDMS.
  • Working Knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training to carry out assignments associated with the development, and implementation of training materials.
  • Knowledge and ability to write test questions that meet nuclear industry standards and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of searching technical references such as the NRC and INPO websites for pertinent information (such as lessons learned/operating experience) to include in training materials.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management System(s).
