Project Manager, Geotech

As a Geotechnical Project Manager at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to a variety of geotechnical projects for variety of clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will supervise field investigations and develop and review design computations; and prepare of geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates

Essential Function

• Develop geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs,
• Manage subsurface exploration programs
• Manage, including review of and aiding in the preparation of bridge, roadway and retaining wall inventory reports and foundation recommendations,
• Be the geotechnical lead for Design Builds
• Review geotechnical analysis using approved software,
• Post-bid retaining wall plans,
• Foundations recommendations for other structures,
• Innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering

Required Skills and Experience

• Passion for client service and engineering
• BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
• 10+ years of Geotechnical Design Experience, NCDOT experience required
• Experience in management of Geotechnical Task Assignments
• Significant understanding of the following: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, and GRLWEAP
• Professional Engineer License is required
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Knowledge of Microstation

Preferred Skills and Experience

• MS or advanced degree in Civil Engineering
