Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Perform various software development duties by using various programming languages to write automation tests that simulates user inputs into various host applications.
*Utilize the Ranorex Enterprise test automation suite to record and playback tests.
*Learn different application areas in our ABB measurement devicesto write test procedures in our software test management tool (Smart Bear QA Complete).
*Perform code reviews with other Developers and maintain software version controls.
*Execute written test procedures on the different application areas in our ABB flow computers and record pass/fail results.

Qualifications for the role
  • Currently enrolled in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Instrumentation. Information Technology or related field.
  • Must have academic experience in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, or Java.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
