JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective Dignitas is seeking a position for an A/C&R instructor/Training Specialist. This position will support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) (Philadelphia) and their missions to support curriculum Development and training of fleet sailors on legacy A/C&R and ancillary systems and expand to the new A/C&R systems being introduced into the fleet. This position may include evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering. We are looking to hire a Machinist Mate (MM) or Engineman (EN) Mechanical technician preferably with U.S. Navy A/C&R experience who holds Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code 742B previously NEC 4291.The technician will provide training with the PMS (Planned Maintenance System), engineering, technical, logistics, and obsolescence support to U.S. Navy, AC&R systems for U.S. Navy surface combatants and amphibious ships - both in-service and new construction. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities but can occasionally be expected to direct and assist junior engineers and interns. Required Education and Experience U.S. Navy AC&R Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code 742B previously 4291 Five (5) years of experience in U.S. Navy Shipboard experience with mechanical system design, repair installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing with an understanding of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) mechanical systems. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Ability to obtain a Security Clearance Must be a US Citizen Must be able to obtain a Passport.
