This position is based in the following office location: Manchester, NHThe opportunity As an Assistant Professor of Computer Science, you will have the primary responsibilities of teaching undergraduate computer science courses, mentoring students, and developing curriculum for all programs. We have two openings for this position. One is set to start at the beginning of the Spring 2025 semester and the other opening is scheduled to begin at the start of the Fall 2025 semester. You will report to our Dean of the School of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics (SETA) and contribute vision, energy, and leadership, while being eager to help further curriculum development at an institution where one person can truly make a difference. Our curricula emphasize the integration of theory and practice, and we look for you to bring your applied background in the field to enhance the experiences in our classrooms. You will need a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or allied field and expertise in the following areas: machine learning, software engineering and processes, cyber security, computer architecture and operating systems. Industrial research or post-doctorate fellowship experience is desired. We are looking for colleagues who are committed to undergraduate computing education and value hands-on project-based learning. The department offers A.S. and B.S. degrees in Computer Science and B.S. degree in Information Technology and is planning to expand to offer a master's program. Faculty members are encouraged to be involved in multiple interdisciplinary projects across the campus. What you'll do:
