What You Will Do

As a member of the engineering team focused on SketchUp Pro, you'll be working to both refine and re-imagine how we deliver cutting edge 3D software on Windows and Mac, helping people everywhere express and communicate their ideas. We're looking for someone who is highly skilled, motivated, collaborative -- and pretty low-key about it all. You should already have some experience writing scalable desktop applications and have a 'quality-first' mindset, and you're excited to roll up your sleeves for the next big challenge.

  • Develop C++ code to extend and improve the SketchUp Pro family of products

  • Cross-platform development for Windows and Mac

  • Collaborate with developers on our team and on other teams

  • Work with Product Management to spec features and with QA to help test your code

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Solid foundation in C++ (preferably at least 3 years of experience)

  • Interest in developing UIs and working with UX designers

  • Strength in Windows, Mac, or cross-platform UI development:

    • Cross-platform: Qt

    • Mac: Objective-C/Cocoa

  • Familiarity with common commercial software development best practices

Bonus Skills/Experience

  • Experience in SAFe / Agile development environment

  • JavaScript / HTML / CSS experience

  • Ruby experience

  • Familiarity with SketchUp and visually creative industries like architecture, interior design, landscape design, or woodworking
