Inova Partnership for Healthier Communities | Inova Grants Program - Herndon| Patient Access Associate 1 | Full time Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm

The Partnership for Healthier Communities (PHC) Patient Access Associate (PAA) provides offers tailored support to patients enrolling in InovaCares clinics. In this role, the PAA screens patients for eligibility in Virginia Medicaid programs, assists with the Inova Financial Assistance (FA) application, explains necessary documentation, and submits paperwork for processing. The PAA also follows up with patients to ensure successful application completion and access to essential healthcare services.

Job Responsibilities



  • Provide one-on-one assistance, guiding patients through the Inova Financial Assistance application process.
  • Assess patient eligibility for Virginia Medicaid programs and make appropriate referrals.
  • Clearly explain required documentation and ensure all forms are submitted accurately.
  • Follow up on applications to support patients throughout the enrollment process.
  • Provide ongoing support to help patients navigate the financial assistance process


Preferred Requirements



  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow through on cases.



Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

1 year of customer service or 1 year of experience in a medical setting or associates degree
