HJF is seeking a Project Manager II to providing technical project oversight and resource management over ongoing projects at the Center. Specific areas of responsibility include: managing operational elements of one or more individual projects, personnel management, internal and external communication, project management for new product development, and reporting budget requirements to Executive leadership.Applicants must possess the ability to provide customer service in a culturally sensitive, accessible, and inclusive manner that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion.


This position will be in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences' Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP), which is based in Rockville, MD. The Project Manager II assists with activities related to CDP's mission, which is to lead the development of a community of culturally mindful and clinically competent providers through the delivery of high-quality training and education, the convening of experts, and the dissemination of research-based treatment and the latest topics in military behavioral health. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) provides administrative and management support to the Center. CDP strives to be the central hub for the Military Health System (MHS) in the development and implementation of training and education to clinicians in order to ensure that all service members, veterans, and their families receive quality behavioral healthcare that meets their unique needs.

In support of CDP's mission, the selected candidate will provide project management and full coordination of the marketing and strategic communications operations for CDP's national program, Star Behavioral Health Providers (SBHP), including developing and overseeing the annual calendar of marketing deliverables for increasing SBHP visibility across the 54 US states and territories. This will require leading and working closely with an internal strategics communications team as well as an external communications team composed of outside partners, vendors, and other specialists. The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison for organizing and leading meetings and activities with and collecting feedback from these teams to finalize all strategic communications materials and meet all expected deliverables. This individual will also be responsible for streamlining existing internal and external processes and evaluating analytics to determine the return on investment from different strategies.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the key coordinator and liaison for all partners, scheduling and lead meetings, coordinating reviews of drafts, consolidating feedback, finalizing materials, and monitoring deadlines.
  • Draft and manage HJF contracts with external marketing partners and vendors and work with HJF for approval.
  • Develop, manage, and execute the annual calendar of marketing campaigns and deliverables.
  • Assist with coordination of external communications and advertising campaigns, including web communications, social media accounts, press releases, newsletters, direct mailers and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure the appropriate use of graphic templates, branding, and images to promote communications consistency across materials.
  • Ensure marketing communications and messaging aligns with the program's mission and conveys military cultural sensitivity.
  • Maintain a digital library, ensuring version control and archiving as materials are updated. Keep flyers, booth kits, and other resources current and assist with their distribution to events and stakeholders as needed.
  • Compile schedules of national and state conferences and coordinate logistics for representation at selected events including staffing exhibitor booths.
  • Track and analyze metrics generated from testing marketing campaigns to inform scaling up to a national scope.
  • Document project scope and plan, confirming objectives, technologies, schedules, milestones and deadlines, funding, and available resources with key stakeholders. Produce and distribute project status reports and documents.
  • Communicate and collaborate with others, including but not limited to project team members, management and other key stakeholders about project requirements and objectives. Document and evaluate existing processes, procedures and guidelines making recommendations for enhancements and improvements as appropriate. Obtain approval for out-of-scope modifications
  • Assist with reviewing presentations and posters and other materials for conferences and meetings.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by supervisor. This may include participation in required training for role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred. A degree in

    Psychology, IT, Marketing, Business, Public Health or a related field is preferred, but not required.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills including attention to details and writing experience with web-based communications and social media as well as printed flyers and fact sheets
  • Strong organizational, analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgment in solving problems
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet deadlines
  • Experience leading and facilitating high-level meetings and activities with a wide variety of personnel and collaborators of varied technical knowledge
  • Ability to coordinate many complex systems and programs at the same time
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work well with others, identify and resolve problems, and deliver results as a team
  • Works well in a virtual team environment and interact well with all levels of an organization and external partners as well as able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, proposal/project tracking, and data analysis software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.
  • Knowledge of military culture and the social sciences/behavioral health field is a plus.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this position is $64,200-$80,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, ect.
